Artistry runs deep in my blood. Raised by generations of painters, I had a childhood saturated with dynamic forms, vibrant color palettes, and frequent family conversations about artistic intent. Fine art was my native language—knowing, inherently, that I would always be an artist, long before finding my medium in jewelry.

In 1999, I started Art by Any Means Jewelry in Cape Ann, Massachusetts. Drawing on my Fine Art background and classical training, I chose the name to reflect my belief that jewelry is a profound art form in its own right.

Making jewelry draws on many artistic disciplines. From my studies, I let the structure of sculpture-making guide my hand-forming and wrapping mixed-metal techniques, which developed our original layered silhouettes. Drawing on color theory from my painting background, I select gemstones individually to create unexpected color combinations. Designing jewelry is fulfilling, like creating ceramics that are both beautiful and functional for daily use. In our Rockport studio, we handcraft each piece of jewelry in small batches from start to finish, allowing me to elevate jewelry into my authentic art.
